And to prevent any unwary Persons from being imposed upon and desrauded, an exact Account of the Manner in which Gamblers and other Sharpers impose upon People at Fairs, &c. The Arts the Horse Dealers make Use of to draw in People to buy or exchange their Horses; and the various other Cheats practised at Fairs, as giving Notes for Goods, pricking at the Belt, exchanging Saddles and Great Coats at Inns, &c. In what Manner Shopkeepers are cheated by Shoplisters; With every other Trick and Species of Villainy made Use of by Rogues and Sharpers, laid open in so plain a Manner, and their Behaviour and Language so sully described, that every one who reads the Book, may certainly know them at any Time, and so be upon their Guard against being cheated by them.
