On free public view at the American art galleries, Madison Square South, New York, entrance at 6 East 23d Street, beginning Thursday, January 15th, 1914, and continuing until the date of sale, first and other editions of the writings of Samuel Langhorne Clemens "Mark Twain" and of Lafcadio Hearn, the property of the Tomlinson-Humes Company (in bankruptcy) and Mr. Merle Johnson, to be sold at unrestricted public sale by order of the owners on January twentieth, 1914, at the hours of 3.30 in the afternoon and 8.30 in the evening, at the American art galleries. The sale will by conducted by Mr. Thomas E. Kirby, assisted by Mr. Otto Bernet of the American art association, managers.
