Summary
A civil rights rally to protest the murder of Emmett Till is sponsored by the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters New York Division in 1955. An invocation is given by Reverend Thomas Walker, speakers include Ashley Totten, A. Philip Randolph, the Reverend D. N. Licorish, Earl Brown of the New York City Council, Joe Mazur of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of the AFL, Monsignor Cornelius J. Drew, Roy Wilkins, the executive secretary for the NAACP; Mrs. Bradley, the mother of Emmett Till; and Ray Moody who assisted Mrs. Bradley throughout the tragedy. A.
