  • This manuscript (together with the overture to Die Hochzeit des Camacho) was originally part of Nachlass-Band 16 formed by the heirs of Mendelssohn; it was given or loaned to Julius Rietz who kept it and was eventually auctioned as part of his estate in 1878. At some point it entered the collection of Joseph W. Drexel prior to his death in 1883.
